Crimson Gray Released!

You can now purchase the game at the following places:
Steam
itch.io SFW
itch.io NSFW
MangaGamer

See the game's page for the NSFW patches and more info. Also, Ouroboros is on sale at itch.io and MangaGamer!

John is a young man suffering from severe depression. As he loses his sense of purpose in life, he begins to see the world in unfocused gray. Just when he begins to lose all hope, John meets a girl... a very special girl.

Your every choice will impact both characters' mental states, changing their fate. John might reject Lizzie, succumb to his depression, or die violently. Lizzie might lose control and ruin her chances or become obsessed with shadowy conspiracies that may or may not exist. Or just maybe the two of them might be exactly what the other needs and their story could end in happiness...

  2. Ok so i have to admit that while I did look forward to playing one more of your games the main reason i was excited about it was that since it was in steam i could finally offer my support to you, you see i don't use neither credit or debit cards and the prepaid cards other sites use are not avalable where i live.
But man... I am not sure what exactly i was expecting from this game all i know is that i got more.
Anyway what i was getting up to was that i wanted to say: Thanks Sierra and please keep releasing great games.

    1. Many thanks for giving your thoughts in a review. ^-^ Steam is a sink or swim site, so every little bit helps this game maybe be seen by some people!

Anyway, I'm glad that you enjoyed this game! I knew I was taking a risk trying a game that was different in many ways, so I'm happy to hear that many people have responded positively to it.

  3. So I put a steam review in which is rare for me. But this one is worth it.

I adore your style. As with any genuinely good story I've gone through I wished there was more of it at the end. It is my fervent hope that projects of a kind to this are made going forward. I'm not even sure how I'd be able to handle a VN with your style that lasted as long as some others in the genre do.

Thanks for another great story Sierra Lee.

    1. Thanks for the review, I appreciate it! I would really like to be able to do more experimental projects in general and followups to this story in particular, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!

    2. I really really hope that you do. RPGs are not really my thing but I do enjoy playing VNs and Crimson Gray truly resonated with me. I loved every minute of each path, desperately hoping there would be more of it some day after it ended. I'm probably broken six ways to Sunday for feeling so, but I just miss having Lizzie around... a lot. Anyway, thanks for making Crimson Gray!

    3. I'm very glad to hear it resonated with you. ^-^ If I have my way, you'll eventually be able to spend some more time with Lizzie, but I'm not sure when that will be. You can definitely expect some more VNs from me as well!

  4. Um, if I send you an email to hreinn.games@gmail.com you would read it Sierra, correct? If not, well, an email to you has been sent by me to that email. Because apparently your personal email is not public for some reason (not like I need it)... But that's beside the point, just saying that I sent the email in case you don't check that one regularly. And it's about this game, that's why I post it here.

  5. I bought this on Nutaku on the initial release, and I've been busy enough that I only just now tried starting it up. For some reason, the game simply won't run. When I try to run the executable file, nothing happens, not even an error message.

So, I bought another copy on Steam. Amateur or professional, I don't think there's a single other developer whose work I trust as much, and I'd rather get the game through a distributor where I can offer feedback to support your work anyway. But you might want to look into the issue with Nutaku, I doubt I can be the only person who's had this issue.

    2. Addendum to my earlier comment: The Nutaku version of the game did eventually open... after a delay of about 3-4 hours. It now seems to open properly, so I'm not sure anymore if the problem wasn't on my end after all.

    3. Thanks for the trust! That's a very weird bug, so all I can say is that I'm glad it resolved for you, because I would really not be sure what to check on my end. Anyway, hope you enjoy the game!

  6. Thank you for this masterpiece! It brought some colour to my life, if you know what I mean...
I've left a review on Steam, though in my native language.
Hope to see more projects like this one eventually! I don't feel comfortable about pledging on Patreon, but I'll definitely buy complete games.
